Ecological Consultancy Website Design | Greenline Ecology
Website design & branding
ABOUT THE BRAND
Project type: Web Design · Brand Identity · UX Strategy
Industry: Ecology & Sustainability
Greenline Ecology is a conceptual UK-based ecological consultancy specialising in habitat restoration and biodiversity assessments.
This project was created to explore how strategic, minimal design can help sustainability-focused organisations communicate technical expertise with warmth and transparency.
THE CHALLENGE
Environmental consultancies often rely on dense, technical language and outdated visuals, making it hard for potential clients to understand their services or trust their credibility.
Greenline Ecology needed a design system that translated ecological data into clear, accessible storytelling — one that feels professional but human, structured yet calm.
THE APPROACH
The goal was to create a brand and website system that balances data and design, turning ecological information into visuals that inspire trust.
Objectives:
Simplify scientific content without losing rigour.
Highlight measurable ecological outcomes.
Merge professional structure with organic warmth.
Reflect the balance between people, data, and nature.
The visual direction began with a moodboard of UK fieldwork photography: soft, natural tones of sage, beige, and forest green that feel both grounded and corporate-trustworthy.
The logo was built using DM Sans for clarity, paired with Cormorant Garamond for elegant contrast.
THE DESIGN
HERO SECTION
A full-width aerial image introduces the consultancy’s mission clearly: Clean navigation, muted greens, and confident typography create an immediate sense of professionalism.
SERVICES OVERVIEW
A grid of five cards makes technical consultancy offerings easy to understand. Each card features a simple line icon and one-line summary, turning complex information into quick, visual clarity.
CASE STUDY HIGHLIGHT
A before/after riverbank restoration visual demonstrates impact.
The outcome
The resulting website concept transforms dense environmental content into a digital experience that feels modern, credible, and purpose-driven.
It proves that sustainability-focused brands can present scientific integrity through simplicity, merging visual calm with measurable impact.
Design Results:
Simplified service presentation
Stronger visual trust through consistent branding
Clear communication for both technical and non-technical audiences
This project taught me how to design for dual audiences, creating layouts that appeal to both data-driven stakeholders and environmentally minded partners.
It reaffirmed my belief that sustainable design isn’t about decoration; it’s about clarity, empathy, and storytelling that helps nature and business coexist.
