Overview

Bio Assets is an international investment company working across carbon, biodiversity, forest conservation, and renewable energy assets in Brazil and wider Latin America. Their work sits at the intersection of environmental protection and long-term value creation, partnering with institutions and stakeholders operating at scale.

I worked with Bio Assets to redesign their website and rewrite the site copy, creating a clearer, more modern digital presence that reflects the seriousness of their work and supports trust with partners, investors, and collaborators.

New design:

Redesigned BioAssets homepage with a simplified structure, improved typography, and a clearer value proposition around carbon and biodiversity assets.

The brief

The existing Bio Assets website no longer reflected the organisation’s expertise or ambition. Visually, it felt dated. Structurally, it was dense and difficult to navigate. Important information was present, but buried in long blocks of text, with little hierarchy or guidance for the reader.

The brief was to simplify and modernise the site, making it easier for visitors to quickly understand what Bio Assets does, what it invests in, and how its work creates both environmental and economic value.

Old design:

My role

I led the website redesign and copywriting, shaping both the structure and the story of the site. This included defining the information architecture, designing page layouts, selecting and organising imagery, and rewriting all core website copy.

The aim throughout was clarity. Not dumbing down complex ideas, but presenting them in a way that feels accessible, confident, and credible.

Approach

The redesign focused on creating a clear narrative across the site. Instead of overwhelming visitors with information, content was restructured into logical sections supported by strong headings, generous spacing, and consistent layouts.

Navigation was simplified to focus on the most important pages, while individual activity pages were designed to explain specific initiatives in a way that feels focused and easy to follow. Each page was built to guide the reader through the content without friction.

Design direction

The visual direction is clean, modern, and restrained. A neutral palette and strong typography create a sense of professionalism, while full-width imagery helps communicate the scale and environmental context of Bio Assets’ work.

Layouts prioritise readability and flow, allowing complex topics to feel calm rather than overwhelming. The design avoids unnecessary embellishment, letting the content and imagery carry authority.

Copywriting

Alongside the visual redesign, I rewrote the website copy to improve clarity and cohesion. The language was shaped to speak to an international audience, balancing technical credibility with accessibility.

Complex concepts such as carbon credits, forest conservation, and biodiversity assets are explained clearly, without relying on jargon. The copy supports both specialist and non-specialist readers, while reinforcing Bio Assets’ position as an experienced and trustworthy organisation in the sustainability investment space.

The result

The finished website gives Bio Assets a digital presence that feels aligned with the scale and importance of their work. Information is easier to navigate, key messages are clearer, and the overall experience feels more confident and contemporary.

The site now functions as a strong foundation for ongoing growth, supporting Bio Assets in communicating its mission, activities, and impact to partners and stakeholders across the environmental and investment sectors.

If you’re working in sustainability, conservation, environmental finance and more and need a website that communicates complex work with clarity, I’d love to help.
